Piano
Tuning
Perfect pitch. Mastered tension.
A piano that lasts over time.
Your piano is no longer perfectly in tune?
It is not just a matter of ear — it is a matter of the instrument's health.
For over 25 years, we have been tuning pianos with a simple approach:
Precision, stability, and respect for the instrument.
Courteous, guaranteed service with no surprises. Trust is also part of the tuning.

Why tuning is essential
(and not optional)
A piano contains about 220 strings, under a combined tension of 18 to 20 tons. Over time — and especially without maintenance — this tension releases. The result?
- 1The piano drops in pitch (sometimes up to ½ step below A440)
- 2The tuning becomes very unstable
- 3A simple pitch raise is no longer enough
In these cases, a pitch raise is necessary before achieving a stable tuning.
Tuning is not just
about the sound.
It is the vital balance of your instrument. Discover the real impact of time, tension, and humidity on your piano in our detailed guide.
How often should you tune?
Because the Quebec climate plays against your instrument.
per year
per year
The effect of the seasons
- Summer: too humid → pitch goes up
- Winter: too dry → pitch goes down
In the long run, a constantly untuned piano overloads the tuning pins and the soundboard. And then, we are no longer talking about maintenance... but costly repairs.
Prevent or repair?
The choice is simple.
Proper piano placement
(and avoiding problems)
A few simple rules:

Humidity control
system
If these conditions (40-60% humidity) are difficult to maintain, the most effective solution is a humidity control system installed directly inside the piano.
This is the best insurance for tuning stability... and the longevity of the instrument.
Ready to restore your piano's harmony?
A well-tuned piano can be heard. But above all, it is preserved.
